The King of the Battlefield

I went to a festival at the castle. They were showing us what could have happened in the olden days. The baddies didn't live. They got stabbed by swords & axed by axes. The best bits were the guys with armour on stabbing each other. I don't think the one blowing fire would of been in the olden days. He was just entertaining us. The people with bows & arrows practiced hitting a block of wood with the arrows when they were running and some of them fought together for practising. There was an man with a cup in his hand holding it very hard dressed in yellow raggy clothes. He was crying all the time. Richard said he was practicing to be the Village Idiot like he was in a movie. The cup was for giving him money. I loved it. I would like to see it every year.

  1. Hi Archie, Libby, Foh and Richard, its Irene here. Sounds like you are having all too much fun over in old Europe. I see all the old buildings and feel almost homesick while I am stuck here at Uni between my books. still, its fun here, too.Daniel has been to several castles when he was very little and he dosen;t remember a thing! Well, he was only 4 month old so we can not expect too much, I guess. Are you there with the rowing team? Are there any championships coming up? What other cool stuff have you planed to do and see? Hope you will continue to have a great time. Cheers, Irene

  2. Hi Irene, Very nice to hear from you. Your old Europe is very cool! We had no idea Germany had so many castles! You never know what they are going to remember even at 4... Libby has been practicing being an air hostess ... imagine if that was her lasting memory:) Slovenia has been amazing! It is very green and has a very interesting history. Yes the rowing team raced here in Bled two weeks ago & will do so again this weekend. They race at another World Cup event in Munich next weekend in preparation for the World Champs in NZ. We fly home from Munich next Thur. We are on team duty now as the manager leaves tomorrow:)We feel very lucky! See you soon :)
